Identify the claim and the organisation
Keep the organisation’s details, agreement reference and written notices you have received. Where anything is unclear, request clarification of the claim and the capacity in which the organisation is contacting you.
Connect balances, payments and arrangements
Gather the original agreement, earlier arrangements, payment receipts and latest breakdown of the debt. Identify specific amounts or charges that need explaining so your request can receive a documented response.
Consider the whole proposal
A lower instalment does not explain the total cost. Request written terms on duration, interest, any final payment, security and consequences of missed payments. Where there is a guarantor, their position also needs clarification.
Keep discussions and ongoing proceedings distinct
An official digital Code of Conduct service is available through gov.gr; its suitability needs case-specific assessment. If a court document has been served, seek prompt review alongside any negotiations. Discussions alone do not confirm that proceedings have been suspended.
